November Alert: Show up now, or get shut out

Washington is in a funding fight while 2026 Medicare payment policy is set. When chaos rises, organized voices win agenda space. BAC-PAC is the only federal Super PAC for chiropractic. If we are not at the table, our issues are not in the bill.

Real world impacts from the Washington Shutdown

Congress continues to wrestle with stopgap funding. Even partial shutdown pressure slows agency work and crowds out health policy that affects Medicare and the VA. This is when better-organized groups grab oxygen. Our profession must be present and persistent.

CMS sets the 2026 Physician Fee Schedule

CMS finalized conversion factors for 2026. Modest increases help many providers, yet do not fix the limitations in the current Medicare legislation, which does not provide coverage for the full scope of chiropractic services. Seniors still cannot access exams, imaging, or therapies from chiropractors unless they pay out of pocket. This needs to change.

What BAC-PAC is doing

  • By focusing on Medicare and veteran champions, we are prioritizing House offices that support efforts that improve senior and veteran access to chiropractic care. This includes committee members, swing votes, and proven validators for drug-free spine care.
  • Reading the 2026 midterm map. We are analyzing early polling, cash on hand, filing deadlines, and any remaining redistricting to identify districts where a pro-chiropractic message can decide the margin.
  • Keeping pressure during the shutdown fight. Even when timelines slip, staff work continues. We are protecting our agenda so hospitals and large medical lobbies do not claim the available oxygen in health policy conversations.
  • Building local leverage. We are examining districts where members of Congress hear from patients, veterans, and clinic owners to strategize with the profession’s momentum.

Why it matters to your clinic

If we wait, others in Washington, D.C. will define chiropractic for our patients. Coverage remains limited. Veterans face delays. Your clinic absorbs the cost of policy inertia. If we act, pro-chiropractic candidates get resources, committee staff hear our message first, and patients gain faster access to conservative care.

Do this today:

  • Forward this eBlast to three colleagues and one state leader.
  • Post a one line message on LinkedIn and Facebook. Try this:
“Medicare 2026 is set. Coverage for DCs is still limited. I stand with BAC-PAC so seniors and veterans can access chiropractic.”
  • Fund the work. One adjustment a month equals fifty dollars. Many hands make light work, and no one has better hands than chiropractors.

Bottom line: In a fee rule, silence is surrender. In a fee rule, details decide the future. BAC-PAC is the backbone of our federal voice. Show up today.
